Wildfires have swept across North Dakota the last few weeks, scorching more than 110,000 acres and causing catastrophic losses to cattle ranchers.

CHS is responding with more than $15,000 in financial and in-kind support.

The CHS animal nutrition business is making a $5,000 in-kind donation of feed and providing an opportunity for other dealers to donate feed and join our efforts.

CHS is making a $10,000 donation to the North Dakota Stockmen’s Foundation relief program. Ranchers will apply for relief via an online application process to determine those with the greatest needs.

CHS is also working with member cooperatives in North Dakota to match donations to wildfire relief efforts through the Seeds for Stewardship program.

“We’re proud to partner with our member cooperatives and our internal business units to support ranchers as they begin to rebuild their herds and livelihoods,” says Megan Wolle, senior director, CHS stewardship. “Our hearts go out to everyone affected by the wildfires and tragic loss of life in North Dakota.”
